Are you going to a music festival his summer? Here’s a little inspiration on what to wear and maybe even which bands to see! I’m a big rock music lover and going to concerts is one of my favorite activities! It’s right up there with shopping and writing about fashion!

This Year’s Must-Haves

At the music festivals you’ll meet a lot of different types and chances are that you’ll meet a lot of rock n’ roll inspired fashionistas! At least in Europe, everything goes at a festival! People let loose, show off their crazy and creative sides and relax! This is your chance to try out different stuff that you maybe have not had the gust to wear where you live for whatever reason! Well, for instance not many of us wear denim shorts and wellington boots to work! At a festival, it’s the perfect outfit!

  • The first part of the festival fashion of 2010 posts is about sunglasses!
  • The second one will be about the bags
  • The third one about festival shoes!

The Sunglasses

Needless to say, if it’s a sunny festival pull out your craziest and coolest sunglasses. This year we’ll be seeing retro and vintage looking, 80′s inspired ones. Here are some of my favorite:

The Aviators

The aviator sunglasses never go out of style! They are great for any look at a festival and outside it too, so if you want to bet safe, these are the sunglasses to choose!

The Wayfarers

This 80s iconic piece of fashion has had a crazy revival in the 00′s! Everyone is wearing them and it seems as they are here to stay for a while! These new limited edition ones are for you the trendy fashionista who already has them in black and now wants to make your wardrobe a little more cool with floral prints this summer! This is for you who follows the trends, but likes classic items that will stick around for a while!

The Round Glasses

Definitely the IT sunglasses this season. They are quirky and fun and maybe even silly, but that’s what makes them trendy and cool. These sunglasses are for the ultra chic and fashionable soul who cannot sleep until they have the latest and hottest trends in their wardrobe before everyone else!

Must-See Bands (Part 1)

@ Roskilde Festival (Denmark) – Muse, The Prodigy, Prince

@ Glastonbury (England) – The xx, Pet Shop Boys, Stevie Wonder

@ Rock Am Ring (Germany) – Rage Against The Machine, Kiss, Gossip

Are you going to a festival this year? Which one and which bands will you be seeing?

Yay aviators and wayfarers! Love them.
Round glasses don’t quite fit my face shape.

Oh, I wish I could go to Rock am Ring, but I don’t think I can make it..
Great post!

I don’t think the round glasses really suit anyone’s face ;) But they sure are trendy in 2010!

Sunglasses are big in the US too, concert or no! But wellingtons and jeans? Here it seems the kids are still wearing black and chains for concerts. Maybe that’s because the only festivals are the metal bands.

Miss the old days of thousands of kids going to festivals, but it just doesn’t happen here anymore.

Festivals are the highlight of the summer for many people in Europe! It’s a great tradition… And yes, wellington boots and denim shorts are a must ;)
