Fashionista In The Spotlight: Amie K.

Meet Amie from She Wore What?!… She’s a British fashionista, who will turn 27 in a few days (Happy Early Birthday!). Amie works in fashion retail and is hoping to specialize in Visual Merchendising. Outside of fashion, her main interest is dance! Amie has written a 3 piece mini series on autumn fashion for FashionStyleAdvice, so make sure to check it out, starting this week!

1. Describe your style in three words.

Eclectic, varied, vintage!

2. Where do you find your fashion inspiration?

All around! I love looking at other style blogs and people in the street, what my boyfriend wears, also from random places like sunrises and sunsets and the beauty of nature and the natural world, I have even put an outfit together after getting inspired from the colour palette of a tropical fish!

3. When it comes to fashion, what’s your favorite season of the year and why?

I love Autumn because I love to layer looks-although you can usually do this during the Britishsummertime! I prefer to have a lot of clothes to work with! I also love the end of summer when the new looks filter down into stores and we get the excitement of the promise of new things to come for Winter!

4. Who is your favorite designer and why?

I love newer designers such as Dagmar and Acne, and I love the simplicity of Stella McCartney’s designs. Like every other girl, I dream of owning a Chanel handbag!

5. Do you have a favorite piece of clothing?

I love a tailored trouser. Tapered leg, high waist, in a decent wool blend-they’re so versatile. They look amazing with brogues and a quirky tee or with heels and a floaty blouse for a more formal occasion…sigh! easy perfection!

6. What is your best fashion or beauty tip?

Fashion wise, I would say find what you feel comfortable wearing and you will own the outfit-get to know what works for your shape. Beauty wise, gallons of water and a beauty therapist who can shape your perfect brow is all you need!

7. Tell me a little bit about your blog…

I started writing my blog as a way for me to discover and share ways of being stylish on the cheap – a little play on the credit crunch, but it has evolved into a more personal trajectory of my own developing style, and the way in which I have built my wardrobe as my style has matured.
