Following trends when it comes to hair is obviously not the same as with fashion. One season short bobs are the hottest and the next season they’re not. Hair grows out again eventually, but it’s certainly not super easy to go from a bob to one of the hottest 2011 hairstyles – long, wavy hair… A true Victoria’s Secret runway hairstyle like this will make you look glamorous, sexy and at the same time effortless…
Here are some examples of the wavy hair…
Now, how do you go about getting this hair? I have long hair, somewhat curly when it’s wet, but straight once dry…
- After washing my hair I use a heath protector and some mousse gel… Blow dry the hair with your head down to give it lots of volume.
- Next step requires the only hair styling tool I will ever need, the ghd straightener, which is perfect for creating this style. The ghd IV straightener, which I use, is a great 2 in 1 tool, because it both straightens and curls your hair! This tool will give you the most beautiful and natural looking curls…

My head is just full of curls, but sometimes I just want waves.I really like this look and would love to try it, if only i had enough time to do my hair each morning…
I love ghd’s! Definitely a magic tool. Wavy hair is one of my favourite looks: my hair is really really curly though.
I just saw a commercial for those 2 in 1 curl/straightener. I think an investment must be made…the commercial made it look SO easy! Great post.

I don’t usually have much time to do my hair in the morning – but using rag rollers makes it effortless. There are tutorials online if you’re curious. It’s extremely low-tech but makes the most gorgeous, natural-looking, soft curls that I don’t even need to use any product on – and they last ALL DAY! Just mist your hair (very lightly! not saturated) with water in a spray bottle, divide into several sections (about 6 works for me) and hand-roll each section into a curl shape. Tie each curl with a strip of cloth about 2″ x 6″ (I cut mine from an old T-shirt) – a regular old overhand knot should hold it in place just fine. Let dry overnight (wrap a silk scarf around your head to keep from getting tangles). It takes a few tries to get the hang of it but it’s really simple and a lot more comfortable than sleeping on foam rollers, ouch! Then in the morning, just untie and shake loose your hair, finger comb, and you’re ready to go! :)
