How To Get Soft Summer Feet

One of the most relaxing and rewarding beauty procedures is a pedicure at home. After a long, hot, summer’s day, sit down in your favorite chair, on the terrace or wherever else you feel comfortable and treat your feet for a little while. You’ll look better, feel better and sleep better!

How To Get Soft Feet…

There are two ways to take a foot bath – using an electronic foot spa or a regular plastic bowl. I am more fond of the home prepared bowl bath, because you can make a foot bath that’s just perfect for you…

Before you get going, bring everything you’ll need and set it up, so you don’t have to get up, because you’ve forgotten something!

1. Remove the nail polish if there is any before you put the feet into the bowl.

2. Mix 7 cups of water with 2 cups of milk.

3. Heat the liquid, so the temperature suits your feet.

4. Put some rosemary into the bowl.

5. Add a handful of sea salt.

6. Soak your feet 15 – 20 minutes.

7. Use pumice stone to soften your feet and remove hard skin!

8. Find a rich foot cream and rub and massage your feet with it.

9. Put cotton socks on after the creme is absorbed a little.

10. Once the foot creme is absorbed, you’re feet are ready for a trendy summer nail polish!

Repeat this procedure at least once a week and moisturize your feet before you go to bed every night! The sea salt from all the swimming along with the sun will dry them out!

This is also similar to how I do my pedicure, although I use the pumice stone before I put my feet in the water!

I think I’ll try my next foot bath with some rosemary! :)

The thing is once you’re feet have been soaked it’s much easier to remove the hard skin, because it becomes softer! Try the rosemary – it’s has a wonderful scent :)

I’m happy if your feet are happy! There’s nothing better than a foot bath after a long day wearing high heels!! :)

Actually, a foot file is more sanitary than a pumice stone because it’s harder to clean the stones of the icky bacteria. (Well, according to my foot doctor anyways)

What a great post!
Pretty much how I do my pedi too, though I never tried milk in it. Sometimes I use dry peppermint leaves/tea, and sometimes just essential oils. ;-)

My home pedicures have only ever consisted of a trim and polish, this sounds like a manageable at home treatment. I am excited to try it out! Milk on my feet sounds super soothing… Toes.Are.Quivering!
Thanks, fab post xx
