How to look good even though you can’t afford Chanel?

Fashion on a budget doesn’t have to be as boring as it sounds.  The Internet, especially, gives you the opportunity to browse through pictures from latest runway shows. Look through these and be inspired. Look at the colors, details, how the designer has put the clothes together and then brainstorm in your own wardrobe.

Ask yourself how you can mix and match and put together an outfit that reminds you of the runway outfit. Who says that you have to follow the runway trends? Most of the time they are too extravagant for even a celebrity to wear.

The thing is to create your own style and be inspired by the designer. What would the world look like if we all wore Marc Jacobs’ latest collection? Beautiful, some would say, but what makes a personal style is you not a designer.

How to make your style look expensive even though you bought it in a cheap store?

First of all it is important to buy clothes made of good materials. A mix of acryl with spandex and a touch of cotton will not look expensive even if it had Chanel written all over it! Always stick to products made of good materials like cotton. The color will not fade and the product will stay in its original shape for a long time.

A good advice is to consider the color. Black clothes, no matter how cheap, can almost always look expansive with the right accessories.

Stay away from cheap patterns

Never buy an H&M “exclusive”. It might look good and flashy, but everyone who knows fashion will be able to identify its origins. The pattern will look like it’s trying too hard and be very recognizable.

A good advice is always to mix your clothes. The cheap goes really well with a designer accessory like a watch or a belt or an unusual hair piece. So next time you are picking a piece of clothes take into consideration if it looks like something you bought for no money. If it does, keep looking!
