New Trend Alert: Denim Shorts

There are a lot of gorgeous 2010 fashion trends and denim is very one of the hottest! One of the denim items that we’ve been seeing lately are cut off denim shorts. But when I think about cut-off denim shorts, classy is not what comes to mind. However, mixing a pair of denim shorts with some different, less stand-out items, makes a wonderful, modern outfit. So what do we wear them with to not end up looking trashy?

Here are four different styles to inspire you!

Casual Day Looks

We’re used to wearing shorts during the day, but mostly in summer time. Here are some suggestions for wearing the shorts in the spring!

Look No. 1

Pairing a pair of shorts with a tank top and a blazer makes a very casual, but cool and chic day outfit. If it’s cold out, wear a pair of tights underneath. A cool pair of high heels can substitute the wedges!

Pair a pair of denim shorts with some cool, patterned leggings or tights, which is another 2010 fashion hit. It makes the look a lot more personal and daring, but at the same time warm and casual. Throw on some cool wedges and an oversized shirt and you’re good to go to any lecture, lunch or a shopping spree!

Look No. 3

This look is inspired by Kate Moss. She is one of those women that can wear a pair of boots with denim shorts and not look trashy. If you’re going for the sexy look that goes for both day and night, I suggest wearing a blouse that is not revealing. In that way, you’re only showing off your legs and covering the rest of your body, and still looking sexy!

Going out in a pair of denim shorts is not something we’ve done too much of. But if we were ever going to do it, now is the time! Pair your denim shorts with a pair of cool high heels and some shiny leggings and you’re ready to party. Once again – in order to avoid looking too sexy, make sure to tone down the rest of your outfit!
