New Trend Alert: Patch Leather Leggings

These H&M leggings are one of my favourite items in my closet right now. They combine two of the biggest  2010 fashion trends; leather and patches on pants.  The leather patches make the leggings edgy and different and these leggings make any outfit just a little more cool!

And people are shocked when they find out that they are from H&M and cost about $20. I have received a lot of positive comments on these leggings.

How to wear them?

Leggings and jeggings are some of our favorite fashion items these days. They are comfortable, they show off our legs, without really showing them off, they can be worn with skirts, dresses, tunics and so on. Here are some ideas on how to wear leggings with leather patches:

  • Pair them with a feminine white, beige or pink blouse in a soft material like silk, to make the outfit more feminine.
  • Go with a darker tunic and a beaded belt for the rock chick feel!
  • Avoid a short top with leggings regardless of the leather patch – the look will become more sophisticated with a longer blouse.
  • Avoid long leather boots because of the leather patches – go with suede rather than leather.

What do you think about these leather patch leggings?

Does leather stretch? I’m wearing wonderful legging right now — but they’re wonderful because they stretch.
