You might have noticed the ripped jeans on the streets and in the magazines. The trend from the 80s and the 90s is returning and is hotter than ever. I’m not too fond of the wide legged ripped jeans – the so-called boyfriend jeans. However the skinny ripped jeans put the extra rock on the roll while you’re strutting your stuff!
If you pair a pair of the skinny ripped jeans with some classic black boots, a fitted blazer and a coral scarf, you’re ready to rock just about any lunch, shopping spree or a casual date.
When wearing the ripped jeans, the holes are a big and noticeable detail, so don’t overdue the accessorizing. The look will become messy and trashy! And that’s not the look you’re going for!
How to modernize your own jeans
If you don’t want to spend money on a pair of ripped jeans that you’re not going to be using for a long time, take an old pair and rip it. The holes are not supposed to be big with your knees hanging out. Go for the “Oops I banged my thigh into a table and ripped my new jeans. Ouch!” – look! The best way to do this is to place an iron-patch on the inner side of the jeans on the place you want the jeans to look ripped. This will prevent the holes from ripping and becoming too big and will not let the skin show through the holes. Then start using your imagination and a razor and VOILĂ€!

I love ripped jeans!!! They can make any outfit look just a little bit cooler instead of always wearing the same pair of skinny black jeans – not that I don’t love that too, but once in a while a change to ripped is good. Btw, I love your site, you give really great fashion advice:-)
