Since March of this years I’ve been noticing owls here and there and now they’re everywhere, so I decided that now is the time to mention them.
Once labeled only as smart, owls are now also fashionable!
Marc Jacobs is one of the designers who put owls on the fashion map. Here are some examples from his Fall/Winter 09 collection:
However, high end brands are not the only ones loving the owls this season. Here are some cheaper choices if you want to sport this hot trend!
Necklaces: Brown Owl, Silver Owl, Gold Owl
T-shirt: Rhinestone Owl Tee
Rings: Black Owl Ring, Gold Owl Ring
Socks: Owl Ankle Socks
Mixing these unconventional designs with classical items will give you the extra edge to look modern and chic.
What do you think about owls?

Hmm… where I live I haven’t seen many people wearing owls…. it must not be a fashion trend around my area. But hey, I really like the owl accessories, it sure is different.
You should set the trend, then
I really like the fact that owls are actually a bit ugly and masculine, but Marc Jacobs sure makes them cool and feminine!
Owls have been around for ages — they are in and out of style, perhaps, but they are timeless. They represent wisdom.
I’ve never noticed them as “a trend” before. Now, celebrities and TV-presenters are wearing them, Marc Jacobs has a line full of owl-details and all the affordable brands sell them too. I like the fact that they are made so feminine, even though femininity is not the first thing you think of when you see an owl.
I’ve noticed owls on fashion recently as well. I love how they look and their big eyes. I bought an owl necklace a while ago from accessorize, and I love it.
Yes, I love them too. So ugly and beautiful at the same time! I like the duality!
I love the owls! I haven’t seen much people in my area wear them eighter, but I’ve seen a lot of necklaces and t-shirts, and I think the owls looks soo cute !
Yeah, that’s the same in my area!
Owls were huge two years ago – birds in general actually, but especially owls made it big. At least in Scandinavia. Mostly on jumpers, sweatshirts, accessories, (and tattoos). The owl does have a very non-typical “bird-shape” to them, which must be one of the reason that the pop up here and there from time to time.
