While we are all hoping that the sunshine will return, the world of fashion is looking towards autumn for the latest big trend. With the famous September issues now hitting the newsstands we can start to get a peak of what we will be wearing in a few months time and there are certainly a lot of looks to choose from.

For anyone wanting a fabulous new pair of women’s shoes, what colors were big on the catwalkis always important to know and according to fashion bible Vogue, brights are huge on the autumn/winter catwalks.

Vogue writes that “the autumn/winter 2010-11 collections were an explosion of breathtaking brights.” With colour all over the catwalks Vogue says that “toxic and tingling colours surprised and delighted.” While, “Nicolas Ghesquiere’s icy blue at Balenciaga shocked the audience – in a good way.”

Vogue advises us to wear the colours in “varying tones of the same hue or colour-block in unexpected clashes,” and to “wrap up in zingy yellow, warm peach, cool jade and tones of rose – these colours come with a feelgood factor.” Online fashion store Very.co.uk has taken to this trend and produced a great range of items in bright and clashing colours.

Meanwhile, Instyle reports that “this a/w is the time to blast colour through your wardrobe. Designers added an explosion of brights to the usual sombre tones of the season, from the sumptuous red velvet dresses at our fave Antonio Beradi though to the canary yellow over at Yves Saint Laurent and orange at Miu Miu.”

And if all over bright colours leave running back to your wardrobe for your favourite LBD according to the magazine “For a subtle note to the trend, just accessorise with colored bags and shoes.” A gorgeous pair of heels or winter boots is the perfect way to incorporate this look into your wardrobe without having to spend a fortune on loads of new clothes. Instead opt for pair of heels in your favorite colour and if you want to combine the look with another key trend this summer why not try a pair of scarlet shoes with some black lace and velvet for the perfect glam goth style, find your perfect pair of shoes from Very.co.uk.

Have your say…

Do you like wearing shoes that bright up your wardrobe? I’m really liking the dark blue, light grey, khaki and red ones this season!
