Spice Up Your Fall Look With Gold

by Milana

This season military theme is dominating our wardrobes; khaki, green, brown are some of the hottest colors you may come across. Military jackets, cargo pants, khaki nails are a must-have, but how do you soften the military look and make it feminine? The answer is gold jewelry!

How To Accessorize…

Gold goes particularly well with military green – and you’ve probably noticed that a lot of buttons on the military jackets around are in gold.

Now, some of you may think ”I’m more of a silver kind of person” or maybe, in which case you’re good to go: ”I only like gold”. I have for a long, long time only worn silver jewelry – it felt less out there and it wasn’t too shiny and visible as the gold jewelry. Plus my watch was silver, and I didn’t like mixing the two materials. But why not?

How To Wear Gold…

  • Gold is very luxurious and makes any outfit feel and look more like that.
  • Don’t go too overboard with gold – unless you’re in Abu Dhabi with the girls!
  • Stick to one dominant jewel and wear lots of it – bracelets (lots of cute ones over at ShopNBC)
  • Long gold necklaces can make any regular black blouse more dressy. Pair it with cargo pants and you’ve got the perfect fall look.
  • Oversized rings and lots of them give your outfit a certain personality and edginess in any situation.
  • Have some extra jewelry in your handbag – in case a surprise night out turns up!

Have Your Say…

Are you a gold or a silver kind? Or do you like to mix?

I’m both–silver and gold! But I say “no way!” when it comes to mixing them. I just don’t like to be wearing silver earrings and a gold necklace, or a silver ring and gold bracelet- yep, it seems funny.

Have a great weekend! :)
